The Major Car Crash
According to reports from the Department of Public Safety (DPS), officers responded to a major collision in Pharr on Saturday, August 5. The collision involved five vehicles and resulted in the hospitalization of six victims.
The collision occurred at 12:45 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-2 at Cage Boulevard. No major injuries were reported in connection with the crash. The collision caused traffic to back up on the expressway for hours following the incident. The scene was cleared by 3 p.m., according to the officers involved.
An investigation into the incident by the Pharr Police Department remains ongoing.
