Texas Departmentment of Transportation Subcontractor Killed in Edinburg
On the evening of Sunday, June 11th, a subcontractor for the Texas Department of Transportation was killed while putting up signs. The victim, a 43-year-old male, had been working at about 6:40 p.m. near North Interstate 69-C and Farm-to-Market 490 in Edinburg, Texas.
A vehicle towing a “just in tow” vehicle veered south into the median. While workers had been protected by a convoy, Garza was still struck and pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is still ongoing.
